David Mallitz

David graduated from Miami University (Oxford, OH) in May 1990 receiving his Bachelors of Science in Business with degrees in Accountancy and Finance.  He also played college soccer while attending Miami University.

David is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and worked in public accounting for 12 years for several national accounting firms including Arthur Andersen (Dayton, Ohio) and Deloitte & Touche (Dayton, Ohio and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.).  He specialized in the area of taxation with an emphasis in the real estate, construction and manufacturing industries. He also has a concentration in the areas of tax planning for high wealth individuals/families, estate planning, wealth succession planning and the structuring of Mergers, Acquisitions and Dispositions of business entities.

In 2002, David joined DeBartolo Holdings, LLC as Senior Vice President-Tax and was promoted to Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer in 2008.  David is currently an executive for the DeBartolo group of companies and related entities and holds the following management positions:

David is Co-Founder of Mallitz Investment Group, LLC, a family office that specializes in private equity transactions and structured loans;

David is an investor and Founder of Unity 4 LLC which owns and operates in excess of 100 multi-family apartment units;

David was an investor and served on the Board of Gries Investment Funds LLC, a Fund which specialized in Mezzanine lending;

David served as the Managing Member of eLogic Learning LLC, a Tampa based online learning company. Absorb Software purchased eLogic Learning in August 2019.

David owned interests in various assisted and independent living facilities in Florida and North Carolina which were owned and operated by TJM Properties.  The assisted and independent living facilities were sold as part of the largest private transaction in Pinellas County as of August 2013.

David owns various other residential and commercial real estate properties throughout Florida and the continental United States.

David served on the Baseball Stadium Finance Caucus committee headed by Chuck Sykes and other local community leaders assessing financing alternatives for the construction of a new baseball stadium in Hillsborough/Pinellas Counties;

David served on the Board of the Boys and Girls club of Tampa Bay;
